The Best Pool Villa Hua Hin
If you’re planning on visiting Thailand and looking for the ultimate pool villa, Hua Hin maybe the perfect place. If you are looking for luxury accommodation with a cheap price tag, then you have to check out this amazing pool villa with Airbnb Hua Hin, Thailand.
We stayed here during a 2 week Thailand trip and it was by far the best and most luxurious accommodation of the whole trip.
Read this review to find out what this luxury pool villa near Hua Hin has to offer and why we believe booking through Airbnb Hua Hin, Thailand gives you the best value and experience.
Why Visit Hua Hin, Thailand
Approximately 200 kilometres (125 miles) from Bangkok, Hua Hin is often missed from the typical Thailand itinerary.
On the one hand, this means that thousands of tourists visiting Thailand each year miss out on a destination that provides a real taste of Thailand. Yet at the same time, those that do visit Hua Hin, get to experience a traditional Thai town that isn’t swamped with tourists.
There really are lots of reasons to visit Hua Hin. The traditional fishing village was developed into a beach resort from the 1920s for the royal family to retreat to. Today, the royal palaces are still used by the royal family and Hua Hin is a popular destination for wealthy Thais looking to escape the busy capital.
Hua Hin certainly has no shortage of luxury accommodation but at Thai prices, they are very affordable for European tourists.
And it doesn’t stop at luxury accommodation. We also ate like royalty in Hua Hin with the freshest and largest selection of Thai seafood restaurants we’ve had and again, very affordable at local Thai prices.
If you want to visit Hua Hin, check out our complete 2 week Thailand itinerary here.
How to get from Bangkok to Hua Hin?
You can easily get from Bangkok to Hua Hin in 3-4 hours by bus, car or train. Although a slightly longer journey at just over 4 hours, we chose to travel by train because they are comfortable, easy and cheap. If like us you are travelling with kids, the train gives you the option to move about and you have access to toilets (a necessity when travelling with kids). We were even able to make the bed up above us for our youngest to have a sleep on.
Trains leave regularly from Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong train station and cost between 152 – 302 THB. Please note, prices accurate at the time of writing.
You can buy tickets online but I would recommend buying from the station on the day as they are cheaper. Seats for this journey don’t normally get booked up, it’s the overnight sleeper journeys that you should book in advance.

Where to Stay in Hua Hin
There are plenty of places to stay in the city of Hua Hin itself and you can search for Hua Hin Airbnbs or hotels using either Airbnb or Booking.com. We stayed 1 night in the centre and would highly recommend Asira Boutique Hua Hin.
However, to see the true beauty of Thailand we recommend you venture a little further out and stay in this amazing Airbnb pool villa at Oriental Beach Pearl Resort.
Needing a place to stay in Hua Hin? Plenty can be found here.
Specifically, here are some great villas in Hua Hin:
A Luxury Airbnb Pool Villa near Hua Hin with a Cheap Price Tag!
Oriental Beach Pearl Resort is a 30-40 minute drive (35 kilometre/22 miles) from Hua Hin. Although located a little out of Hua Hin, once you are there you will fully appreciate the location and setting of these luxury pool villas. Surrounded by stunning mountains, the area is completely peaceful and we really felt like we were amongst the beautiful nature of Thailand.
Accommodation prices in Hua Hin are cheap anyway but these luxury pool villas really are good value. You can book through Booking.com but for the best price and service, book this Airbnb pool villa, simply through Airbnb.

What Does this Luxurious Airbnb Pool Villa near Hua Hin have to Offer?
Despite its name, Oriental Beach Pearl is not particularly oriental, nor is it located next to a beach (although the nearest beach is only 750m down the road). The resort and its pool villas are however, very luxurious and have everything you need!
The interior of the pool villa is modern, bright and spacious. There is an open plan lounge area and fitted kitchen with everything you can expect for cooking and dining. The bathroom is clean with a good shower and there are two lovely bedrooms, each one with a comfortable king size bed.
The patio doors open up on to your own lovely terrace that leads directly out to the swimming pool just a few steps away (literally a pool on your doorstep). This is amazing if you have kids because you can relax on the terrace whilst the kids splash about in the pool. Our eldest had so much fun jumping in off the little bridge that crossed the pool.
The swimming pool itself is one of the largest saltwater pools in Thailand. It runs around the resort and is lined either side with the private pool villas. There is also a 60-metre water slide which we all enjoyed and had pretty much to ourselves.
But that’s not all! What makes this pool villa so amazing is the private rooftop terrace complete with BBQ, sun loungers and Jacuzzi. Yes, you might not want to venture anywhere else! We enjoyed drinking bubbly in the Jacuzzi and cooking our own dinner on the BBQ (you can even order fresh fish to cook).

Other Great Things about Oriental Beach Pearl Resort
Within Oriental Beach Pearl Resort, there is a restaurant (you must try the pizzas cooked fresh in the stone oven) and for wine connoisseurs, a well-stocked wine cellar. Breakfast is also available from here but we ate our own breakfast outside on the terrace of our pool villa.
There is a small shop, although for more supplies there is a huge Tesco Lotus (which seems a little out of place but I guess everyone needs a Tesco Lotus) in the nearby town of Pranburi. Pranburi is a 10-minute drive from the Airbnb pool villa and the resort offers a shuttle bus service 3 times a day.
Alternatively, if you want to explore the area at your own leisure (which I would highly recommend), you can hire bicycles, scooters or a car for really reasonable prices from the resort. We hired a scooter and sidecar and it was so much fun!! The roads are extremely quiet and safe and the children absolutely loved it. We used this to get to both Pranburi and the National Park nearby.
Other facilities at the resort include a small gym, spa centre, tennis courts and mini golf course but unfortunately, we didn’t get time to make use of these.
Why use Airbnb Hua Hin to Book this Luxury Pool Villa?
You can book these luxury pool villas through Booking.com but with Airbnb Hua Hin, you get to see the exact pool villa you will be staying in and read the reviews from previous guests.
As a family of 4, we use Airbnb a lot because the properties give you much more space than you often get in a hotel. We also love the fact that you can interact with your host and get a feel for how helpful and genuine they are, even before you choose to book.
Jack, the host provides so much information about the pool villa, the resort and things to do in the area. We had really helpful contact with him before we booked and afterwards. He arranged for us to be collected from Hua Hin station and despite the train being late, the driver was waiting for us when we walked off the train.

Top Things To Do During your Airbnb Pool Villa stay Near Hua Hin
Visit Phraya Nakhon Cave
This was one of our top things to do whilst staying in Hua Hin. The Airbnb pool villa is right on the doorstep of Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park and Phraya Nakhon Cave is one of the parks natural beauties.
The cave is a 15-minute drive (13 kilometre/8 miles) from the Airbnb. From the village nearby, you can either take a 30-minute walk or boat ride round to Laem Sala beach before ascending the 430m climb up to the cave. Once at the top, you’ll descend down into the cave and see the beauty inside. The sunlight cascades down into the cave through the hole in the ceiling, creating a natural spotlight on the hidden temple inside.
It’s a hard climb, especially in the heat but well worth it – our 5-year-old daughter managed it and I carried our 11-month-old in a baby carrier. We soon devoured the ice creams that we had promised our girls after our climb back down.

Visit Sweet Honey Café for a Tasty Treat
Just a few minutes’ walk from the Airbnb villa, just outside the resort, is a charming little café that serves the most delicious sweet treats. We had waffles, fruit and ice cream and it was completely amazing – make sure you pay a visit!
Spend a Day or Two in Hua Hin
The shuttle bus service that runs 3 times a day drops off at Pranburi and then continues to Hua Hin, so you can easily visit for half a day or a full day and return to the pool villa later on.
Some of the top things to do in Hua Hin include the Night Market, Khao Takiab (also known as Chopstick Mountain and home to the monkeys), the Venezia shopping village (Venice themed) and the Vana Nava Water Park.
Visit the Elephants at Hutsadin Elephant Foundation
As well as Phraya Nakhon Cave, this was our other top thing to do whilst staying in Hua Hin. The mistreatment of elephants in Thailand is a well-known problem. Poor conditions, being forced to work long hours, carrying weight over their physical limit and abuse are all sadly a reality for some of these beautiful sacred animals.
If you want to see elephants in Thailand, Hutsadin Elephant Foundation rescues and cares for abandoned elephants. Here, you can take part in ethical activities such as walking, feeding and showering the elephants, which I think is a much nicer experience than riding them anyway!
To find out more about our visit to Hutsadin Elephant Foundation, click here.
It really is an inspirational place and its volunteers do a great job of educating its visitors.
Our Final Thoughts…
There are plenty more things to do and see in and around Hua Hin than I have mentioned above. This Airbnb pool villa has so much to offer, you won’t know what to do first.
The pool villa itself has everything you need and if you are looking to completely relax, then I can’t think of a better place than in the Jacuzzi with the beautiful mountain scenery all around you. If you want to experience the real traditional Thailand and see its natural beauty, then head off to explore the local villages and Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park.
And don’t forget to take a visit to Hua Hin for its royal palaces, busy night markets and fresh seafood.
