Sharing is caring!

After not experiencing the best hotel on a recent stay in Kuala Lumpur, the Royce Hotel to be specific, I thought it was our duty to share luxurious and beautiful places to stay within the vibrant and fun city. Having not personally stayed in a luxurious hotels within KL we have called upon amazing fellow travel bloggers to share their incredible experiences. Here are their thoughts:
The Hotel Pullman – Escaping Abroad
The Hotel Pullman (formerly Prince Hotel) in Kuala Lumpur’s city center is an ideal place to stay in the city. It’s central location makes for easy transportation, walking distance to KL’s most prestigious mall The Pavilion and to the Petronas Towers. Spacious rooms comes with large comfortable beds, floor to ceiling windows with city views, and bathroom’s that have views of the famous towers. Amenities include a spa, swimming pools, business center and a fitness room with cardio machines and resistance training equipment. A variety of fine dining restaurants conveniently located within the hotel offer several different ethnic cuisines. You never need to leave the comforts of the property unless you so desire. A free shuttle offers rides to multiple city locations.
Sunway Lagoon – Full Time Wanderlusters
This resort is a destination in itself! Located around half an hour drive from KL city centre, this hub of entertainment offers something for everyone and for most budgets. Between the resorts two world class hotels, the Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa and the Sunway Pyramid Hotel, there is a variety of accommodation options available from standard hotel rooms to themed suites and luxury villas. No matter which room you go for you’ll have access to all of the amenities the Sunway Resort has to offer, including a gorgeous swimming pool complete with landscaping and waterfalls to give you that tropical feel, and plenty more right on your doorstep.
The biggest draw to Sunway Lagoon are the theme parks; the Water Park with it’s many slides and rides and tune your surfing skills on their wave simulator, the Amusement Park perfect for little ones and the young at heart alike, the Wildlife Park boasting encounters with animals from all over the world, the Extreme Park where the rides are not for the faint hearted and the Scream Park – one I dared not enter myself – where you can have the living day lights scared out of you as you walk through a live action scare maze. And after a big day of thrills or maybe even relaxing by the pool, walk directly across the road for all your retail needs. Here you’ll find a shopping mall with all the top retailers, world class dining, late night entertaiment and even an indoor skating rink!
Hilton Kuala Lumpur – Traveling Thru History
When we moved to Malaysia we stayed in the Hilton by Brickfields for two weeks and again a year later for a week. It is such a fantastic place and I’d say it qualifies as luxury. The rooms were spacious, the bathrooms were spectacular and the views were amazing.
One thing we really enjoyed was the Executive Lounge. Since we were on a top floor, we had access to the Executive Lounge where they served a lovely breakfast spread in the morning along with complimentary finger foods and drinks through the day and then an impressive complimentary dinner buffet each night. Plus, they have a rooftop pool, large fitness center with fitness classes and personal trainers, multiple upscale restaurants, a large lobby with live music and a full-service spa. The staff are excellent, too. I was having trouble understanding someone on the phone one day, so the concierge handled the call and got all the information I needed to run my errands. Another plus is the hotel’s convenient location. The hotel is right across from the main train station, which made getting around the city so much easier. Overall, the Hilton Kuala Lumpur is pretty great and we really loved staying there.

Final Thought…
So there you have it! If only I knew about these places before we travelled to KL. Being a cheap country to visit, hotel accommodation is also cheap in comparison to other countries. Therefore it is a fantastic city to branch out on some luxury.
