Beachside Resort vs. Beachside Hotel

Ever wondered what the difference is between a resort and hotel? Is there even a difference? A beachside resort and beachside hotel are both right on the beach, giving you great access to some of the best places to take a dip in Australia. I personally feel the difference between a hotel and a resort is the following:

Hotel – provides accommodation facilities and sometimes also includes meals with an onsite restaurant and potentially a gym and a pool.

Resort – includes all that was mentioned above for a hotel but is often more luxurious and can include more facilities such as spas, water sport activities, tennis courts, golf courses, etc.

Within this article we will focus on luxury beach accommodation,  oceanfront hotels and beautiful beachside resorts on some of Australia’s best beaches. Showcasing properties from Accor and their amazing beachfront accommodation on the East Coast of Australia.

Areas with Beachfront Resorts & Beachside Hotels

As mentioned previously this article will focus on beachfront accommodation from Palm Cove in Far North Queensland all the way down to Kiama on the beautiful NSW South Coast and most places in between. One area not included as yet, is the Whitsundays, but watch this space :-).
